Counselling is available in the practice. We provide a confidential and supportive opportunity for you to think through your thoughts and feelings. Counselling is about being listened to; it is not about being given advice or being told what to do. It is non-judgemental. People have counselling for a range of reasons. Often these relate to longstanding difficulties or bereavement; be facing illness; being made redundant; or unable to find a job. They may have relationship difficulties in their families or at work.
If you feel you would like to see a counsellor, discuss it with your GP, health visitor or practice nurse who will be able to refer you.
